Love One Another
It is the aim of the school to provide quality care for our children before the start of the school day from 8.00am.
Our children will enjoy supervised care (2/3 Teaching Assistants) and refreshments at both clubs which allows parents a reliable option for care outside of school hours at a fair cost.
Parking – We would respectfully remind all parents and guardians that parking on the school car park is for staff and governors only. Parents are not permitted to park on the car park due to restricted space and for Health & Safety reasons – chiefly to protect children from being injured by moving vehicles. Governors wish this ruling to operate at all times of the day. In exceptional circumstances by prior arrangement with the Headteacher permission to park may be granted for specific occasions.
Breakfast Club – The schools legal responsibility for the children commences at 8.45am. Before this time children remain the responsibility of their parent, carer or guardian. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that children are not left unattended on the school grounds before 8.45a.m.
The school does recognise that some parents have work commitments that commence before 8.45am. To support parents and ensure that children are well cared for our safe and secure Morning Club is available from 8.00am until 8.55am. Parents with young children will be required to sign their child/children in with the member of staff on duty. Older children (Y3/4 onwards who have an independence pass) will sign themselves in. Signing in is an essential requirement to ensure that accurate records of the children attending the club are kept.
This club will cost £2.00 per child. This is payable daily for occasional users or can be pre-paid for regular users.
Breakfast will also be available for those children who wish to eat. Individually charged breakfast items will be available from 8.25am until 8.55am.
On dry days children attending the club will join their peers on the playground from 8.45am.
From 8.45am two members of staff will be on duty on the playground to supervise the children. High visibility jackets will be worn to help the children identify where they are. To assist in the supervision and safety of the children, a team of volunteer parents monitor the front and rear gates to the school from 8.45am. These volunteers also wear high visibility jackets and their role is to ensure that children do not leave the playground, monitor disembarkation of the bus, monitor children at the rear of the school who put bikes and scooters away, assist any children as necessary, act as an extra set of eyes and ears for the staff on duty etc.
A rota of gate volunteers is held in the school office (parents who wish to volunteer for this role should contact the school office.)
